I've found out that there was one song on youtube that was overplayed...which song is overplayed in China...a song that they play over and over again or use it at every store?
I'm still hearing NOBODY NOBODY NOBODY at grocery stores, though I think I notice it more because when it comes on people start staring at me and screaming.
Ithink its got to be your constant flow of garbage, please make my new year wish come true, and happy dragon year

I think paulmartin is right, there is only one song in China they just change the lyrics to make it sound different. have been in restaurants where they just recycle the same song over and over again, during the Vietnam war they used to brainwash the prisoners using this same technique. So there you have the whole nation is being brainwashed by songs that all sound the same. Maybe paulmartin knows more about it then you do. So don't be so quick to slag people.
Avril Lavigne songs hands down!
thedude:
Don't tell the locals, but Canada is using Avril to brainwash the youth into loving all things Canadian, and making them want to dye their hair crazy colors, and rebel against their parents.
TedDBayer:
When Avril came out she was praised for being normal with no make up etc. She was just a greasy 17 yr old. I worked in Napanee where she is from. I knew her mother. Avril thinks she's almost a punk. I think she's a commercial sell out. The only song she did that I can listen to is " I don't like yr GF" which sounds plagiarized. Avril loves the local pizza which is crap. She has no taste. >>I love Nelly Furtado.

Now The Dude that is just not true, they are using Bryan Adams for that.
荷塘月色 is quite possibly every Chinese person over 30's ringtone.
I would add...any contemporary, light, harmless tunes that have to be more than 30 years old.....Yesterday once more, My heart will go on.......
If a university student back home walked around singing these tunes or had them on their iPod, they would get the razzing of a lifetime.
I'll have to agree with Kchur, Nobody by the Wonder Girls is played way too much, whether it's the Korean or the Chinese version. The song is already 2-3 years old, people in Korea have completely forgotten about it, and that's where it came from. The Wonder Girls are has-beens, although they're supposed to make a comeback. Maybe that's why they like it so much?
I don't know why, but when I first came here, "Yesterday Once More" by the Carpenters and "Country Roads" by John Denver seemed to be playing everywhere I went. I still hear both on a regular basis, but not like I used to.
Too many, other than above already mentioned foreign songs here.
I found FM88.7 radio station overly plays "rap""black music" etc those commerical songs all over here in Beijing. It's obvious to me the marketing person had received money.

O-zone- Dragostea din tei .................mai ahiiiiiiiii, mai ahuuuuuuuuu
If i could just go a small amount of time without hearing NOBODY NOBODYYYY....I would be happy.
邓丽君 月亮代表我的心 ~ Teresa Teng "The Moon Represents My Heart" they play this song a lot in cafe.
Since the past 2 years, "Alors on danse" by Stromae, and "Dirty bit" as performed by the Black Eyed Peas.
Before that, it was Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber, and even before that it was those horrible rap songs, especially "soulja boy".
