Q: What passes for a chat-up line in China?
There's a joke/saying i've heard here in Guangxi, which is:
If you want to get a beautiful girl in Nanning, you have to tell her you have a house.
If you want to get a beautiful girl in Guilin, you have to tell her you have a car.
And if you want to get a beautiful girl in Liuzhou, you have to tell her you have a bank account.
Yeh, I didn't say it was funny, I just said i'd heard it. Not actually a chat-up line as such either, but it's in the same ball park. So what chat-up lines, if any, have you heard here in China?
"ni chi fan le ma?" - Have you eaten yet?
"ni de shou ji zhen piao liang" - You have a very beautiful cellphone.
"ni jia you ji kou ren" - How many people in your family?
"ni de yan jing hen da" - Your eyes are so large.
"ni de zui hen xiao" - Your mouth is so small.
"yao bu yao kan wo de che zi?" - Would you like to see my car?
"zhe shi wo BMW. wo ye you liang ge ao di" - This is my BMW. I also have two AUDI's.
"wo mei you hai zi. wo hai mei jie hun ne" - I have no children. I am not married yet.
"dang ran wo you yi tao fang zi.yao bu yao pei wo qu?" - Of course I have a house. Would you like to accompany me there?

At home I use "Hi, can I buy you a ,,,,car", in China I use, " Hi, can I buy you?"
