Q: What reaction you have when you see an obvious non-Chinese behaving as badly as the locals ?

Average Chinese behavior in the wild can be infuriating. Trying to say something tends to be useless, even dangerous at times. Then I see people who are obviously not Chinese, either speaking English or my native language, and misbehave exactly as the local would do, something they would never ever do in their home country. Did you bother saying anything ? How did it it go ? (Students from SKEMA Business School of Suzhou, I'm looking at you, you bunch of drunk bonobos)

Well, if they proposition you, just don't take any RMB 100 notes.  Insist on dollars only or Euros.  Use only imported condoms, the local ones leak, or so I am told.

Seriously, you all, just because they are behaving boorishly, doesn't mean the rest of us have to...

I'm sorry, but you really can't knock young dumb people for being young and dumb. The problem is that they are in the wrong country. Chinese people are allowed to behave like animals, but that does not apply to foreigners. The problem with growing up in a free society is that you do not realize that other countries are different. This is actually a serious issue. Students usually take silly risks, because in there home countries the act is a misdemeanor or not enforced. In China, some of these acts are punishable by death.

Students should be forced to go through a 1 week orientation before coming to China.

Amen to that. Thanks to those guys (third batch of French business students), locals now associate 'French' with 'brash & drunk bonobos'. So when I say 'I'm French, I get the long look and some snarky remarks'.

My initial feelings are generally of sentimental longing for the same youthful abandon and relief that I don't have to go through all that again. My advice is the next time you see such a group of rabble-rousers jostling their way drunkenly towards the next bar, join them, you might have a laugh.

A:It happened to me, once ... in 2014 or 15 ... Plane from RP city (Tianjin) had a delay and I came to the exit (Luohu) some 7 hours after the RP expiration day.I had an excuse, but still I was put in a side office for some 3h and then cops had a short talk with '.. and make sure, it will never happened again! ..' and I was let go without anything on my record. At least, at new Z visa reentry nobody ever mentioned anything about delayed exit. However, I had a bad feeling at following Z visa application ...It's wiser to exit at least a day ahead of the RP expiration day. -- icnif77
