Q: What is the reason, Mac doesn't load clicked weblink or page?

Any geeks around?

I have Mac Pro without Windows and clicked page wouldn't open for longer than 5'. I usually, disconnect and reconnect  wi-fi, and page opens/loads without any pics.

That isn't regular block site occurrence, when Safari's message is clearly 'Can't Open The Page', i.e. at Reuters or Gmail.

I clear Safari's cache and history every two days on average, HD is some 2/3 full.

I am not using any other application in the same time (Skype, FrostWire), just 'Safari' in search, one window at the time.

The latest thing is US Yahoo account 'Mail' folder. It's loads to the half of the search window and then remain frozen for the rest of the day. I can't see new emails, except through the 'Mail' folder on Safari.

Yahoo Home page (News) loads only on half, just about screen size display.

I am not using several searches in the same time, but only one.

I suspect, it's most likely lousy Broadband, 'cause I've never had similar troubles on HK or EU wi-fi. However,  last three or four days problem is worst. eChina 'Home' loads instantly, but 'edit' or switch to the last Qs at 'Answers' loads some 30''.

Does anybody have similar problems using Broadband elsewhere in China?

Is there anything else I could do/clean on my puter?

Had the same issue, and it cleared up after restarting the mac....   I only ever shut down the computer once every 3-4 days, don't know if that has anything to do with it?

icnif77:

That's new (2011) OS X/Safari: 'It's compatible with Windows, and it doesn't restart anymore.' It use to be automatic reset at the end of the day/closing the puter.

I do 'Mac's reset' too, almost every two days (when I remember), but it isn't much better.

I was planning trip to HK's Mac store this week, just to find out the reason from the pros there.

Now, I am a bit chilled, 'cause you have the same issue.

I guess, it must be Broadband or all 'catch-the-thief-software' Gov has attached to Internet in China. It slowed down significantly last 4 days. I guess, 'anniversaries' are to blame.

After puter's 'Restart', I am directed immediately to Yahoo 'Sign in' page, what is faster than before restart. But, after I enter my email address, window doesn't move to 'enter the password' page. 5' already.

That's not my Mac.....

I was successful to Y! 'Log-in' at 2nd attempt. Mac 'never-restart' is the cause. Thanks!

Hi there,

I can't claim myself a Mac Expert however, I have been a Mac Savvy user for almost 10 years now.

I had faced similar problem like which you had faced.

I would like to recommend you three solutions.

1. Check whether there is any update available or not. You can do this by opening Appstore and click on updates.

2. You can install firefox (chrome is also good option if it's available in your location). I am sure installing firefox will fix your problem.

You can download by visiting this link to download firefox: https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/desktop/

3. Sometimes, simply restarting the system will fix many problems.

However, if the problem still persists, give me a shout.. More than happy to help you out.. Cheers..

A:No, it's not allowed to work under RP at 2nd job! I'd say, Z visa/RP sponsor can have an objections to your part-time job. I did the same at my English teaching in China and elsewhere, butT ... I casually mentioned at my prime job, some kindergarten or another school asked me to work with them part-time. Then, my Q: "Is that permitted?" ...  Answer from RP sponsor was always "Yes, but you can't be late or miss the classes at our school ..." with my reply: "No, our work schedule has a priority, and I'll arrange classes at kindergarten only in my free time." When I cleared that, I was undertaking any extra teaching hours at other schools and private students in my free time.Sometimes, teachers at my prime job asked me if I'm willing to have some extra classes elsewhere.I accepted after the talk with School's principal. I suggest, you test the felling at your Z/RP sponsor and once you see they don't object, you can work at 2nd job. Keeping your 2nd job as a secret from your employer won't work, 'cause you're laowai and Chinese know exactly what you do in your free time. However, despite your employer's agreement for extra work, you are still in violation of Chinese Labour law, and even if your sponsor agrees to your extra work, you can still get in trouble, because it's clearly written (somewhere ... ) that under Z/WP, one can work only at the Z-sponsor and nowhere else. Penalties ... I'd say, there won't be any warnings and you'll be required to exit China in short Exit time.It never happened to me, so I can't really advice how is when manure hits the fan ...  -- icnif77
