Anytime is a great time to visit Hangzhou.  Spring and Fall are best, but Summer isn't too bad either.  Might want to avoid the public holidays...unless you enjoy the sardine-in-a-can feeling blush

"anytime"???Rubbish! It's been raining almost every day for the last 3 months! (give or take a couple of days here and there... temperatures haven't gone above mid-teens in that same time...

We even had a bit of a snowfall a few days ago... temps went up to 8 degrees, and then back down to 6 again today :(

The weather can change so quickly almost anywhere in China...so rain is something to be prepared for, eg: bring an umbrella! Otherwise, lots of things to see and do in Hangzhou. I visit there pretty regularly in all seasons....haven't found a season or reason to stop me yet :P

Wait a few weeks (maybe a month or 2) for Spring to kick in - should be pretty nice then!

Autumn was nice, as well... lots of colours on the leaves in the trees Smile

Winter sucks (like many places), and Summer gets pretty hot and humid in Aug & Sept.

Definitely 4 seasons in this city!!!

Visit Hangzhou during the two days of the year when it is not raining.
