I am going to double answer this, because I know some ppl who went to India to do Uni.

India can be used as a springboard to the west. Degree in India, post grad diploma in a diploma mill in the UK, then off to the US to do a masters. I lived close to a 'hospitality diploma' place in the UK for a while. Met loads of great ppl going through the system. All had one thing in common...

Tiger parents.

This is a good subject to discuss. We all want the best for our kids, and in my own political belief system there would be minimal to no borders.

But this whole pressure thing on the kids is just plain wrong.

This whole 'rich family sends kids abroad' just increase lack of social mobility. It propagates the whole have and have not concept, and creates grads who are brainwashed into feeling entitled to be superior.

I wish parents would just let their kids be themselves.
