Q: What is tha lamest and most ridiculous response people make on these posts?

I have noticed that many people on these posts feel obliged to respond to criticism, whether they have an argument to respond with or not.

I actually feel quite embarrased for many, even though I have done the same thing myself many times. Mostly, I laugh a little, because it reminds me of when were were kids squabbling, with statements like "You're a big stupid bumb."

My favourite lame response, when there is no argument left, is "you're a racist" without qualifying exactly how, and not actually knowing anything about the person being labelled.

Another is "you aren't in China"  or "I've lived here longer" used without knowing if there is any fact to that.

"You're a stupid male/female/foreigner/Chinese" also gets a laugh.

I would be interested in hearing any others that people find amusing.

The one thing that gets to me is when a very specific answer is asked, like "what was the colour of the white horse Napoleon rode"?, and isntead of answering "WHITE" a long lethany is posted bearing no direct relation to the question asked.

Or another one that insults my intelligence is when an answer is given with just general knowledge of the subject, and contains a few wrong information on the reply.  I still remember one that really struck me, someone replied that you can overstay your visa all you wanted, leave whenever you desire, and just pay a few yuan and no further consequences.  I do hope that whomever asked that question decided not to follow that advise.  Or the one telling that it was OK to work with an spouse visa, chances of getting caught were not really big.

Yes, some answers do make me laugh, but I wonder if someone will cry if following them......frown

The answers I find most amusing are those where the person clearly didn't pay any attention to what you actually asked or said, or just clearly don't know what they are talking about, so they write an essay about a bunch of other things that are not what you were initially discussing just to save face. Or they make up a random story or a bunch of facts to support their "argument" because they think you can't prove them wrong.

I guess their strategy is, I can't actually counter what you're saying so I'm just going to ramble and hope my long spiel about nothing will make you be quiet and act like I'm right. It's so funny and pathetic. Then they think when you don't respond it's because they've "won", when actually you just realized you were far more intelligent than they and would rather kill your brain cells some other, more fun way!!! wink

I like the answers for things like "In Shanghai, where can I get...."  and people reply, "Well, in Guangzhou..."

Totally missed the point.

When the answer to the question somehow turns into a boast or story that should only have been posted as a response to the following or similar questions.

How many women have you had sex with in China?

How many locals have you beaten up?

Traveler:

It also seems to be the same people that make both claims, and one must question the actual validity of such claims. Or perhaps they have to beat someone up before they can have sex?

When somebody defends their post and they don't notice that nobody's believing their crap. Also, obvious trolls that aren't even funny.

A:Your potential employer is right! Demand for Medical exam before granting Z visa is to make sure, you won't be entering China in any abnormal and harmful to others condition.Few days after your arrival to China, you'll be required to complete another ME ... If ME in China will be OK, you'll get a Residence permit stamp into your book some 10-days afterwards. Imagine, you're an employer, who can sponsor my entry and work in China, but after my arrival to China, it would be found I carry some sickness, which would prevent Chinese .gov to issue a Residence permit. Rule is: Z visa should be converted into Residence permit in 30-days after arrival to China.    So, my advice is:"Complete ME in your home country and forward medical results to your employer".Z visa grant will follow shortly afterwards. Employer is not wrong at their demand for the pre-arrival ME from your home country hospital.   -- icnif77
