Hey guys, its raining like crazy over here. Christ, apparently it wont let up for two weeks! What do you guys do in times like this? I am thinking about getting an xbox.
xbox one is not chipped and neither is the PS 4,I upgraded from an xbox 360 to a PS4 as they were not getting 360 games in.mt xbox 360 is chipped to play pirated games.
PS4 games range from 250 to 400 500 yuan a game and same with the xbox one games.
also the xbox one is much expensive than the PS 4.
You can do Massive Multi- Online Courses, which some people have mentioned before. However, offerings are pretty limited. Many sites that offer courses in economics, statistics, and data analysis have valuable offerings. There are also nice "courses" in international relations topics too. If you are outside of those fields then I'm not so sure. Xbox sounds like a great idea but I'm not sure where people get games from here - there's lots of pirated stuff but it may be wonky.

websites like edx and coursera are the top sites for MOOCs and the better part is that they are indeed not blocked (yet). both of these have shifted their videos from youtube..if connecting from a country where youtube is blocked the videos have an alternate source...It's strange that on ECC whereever someone mentions online courses these 2 sites are not mentioned..they are free if you just need a simple certificate plus knowledge. and the variety is awesome. COmpleted about 20 of them.

Read, listen to podcasts? Nothing to stop you going out in the rain though. I would say get a gaming PC over a PS4 or Xbox though. I had a PS3 but I played PC games far more. And with Steam, most of the online games work fine here. If you really want a console, the PS4 seems to be selling better than the Xbox in most countries. I heard a shop owner in the US talking about how Xboxes are just sat on the shelves gathering dust. But, each to his own.
what flipping rain... it has been missing us for weeks ... every where but here, I want some rain!!!!!

Send us some down here to Shenzhen, we are hot as hell with nothing but blue skies. I would love a storm to cool us down. Where are you in China? I heard about flooding in Hebei

Yeah same here in Nantong, pissing it down here... ffs... Confined to my bedroom and my PC at the moment
Sex, failing that download a season of game of thrones.

I assume you mean game of thrones not sex, lol. I usually download them via torrent.
I'm extending RP.
At PSB, they told us (in Chinese), I exited China a month ago to HK, and I didn't tell the receptionist in the apartment building 'am going out, and I came back'. One must do that in 24h after return to the city. Receptionist will then file report, and enter data into puter, so cops will know, one returned to China.
We could say, because we didn't tell receptionist I returned, PSB doesn't know I returned.
PSB just know I exited, and there is a problem.
We must fill up special form with my name and apartment no., which of course I don't know. The receptionist, who has stamp is absent today, so we'll return tomorrow, when she'll be hopefully present.
Then, we must write and sign 'apology letter'. Rep and me, two letters, however mine must also be in Chinese, so I'm excused of writing of a letter. I'll just sign it.
We must return to the small police by 6pm today, and hopefully get their stamp.
Tomorrow, we must bring all today's forms and letters to the big PSB, where they will hopefully extend my RP in a week, so I can apply for tourist visa at the Embassy of Paki-land.
It's very comfortable weather for bureaucratic matters, because I have an umbrella. However, I should have fisherman's boots.
I feel like I went fishing with the mobile phone instead of the hook line.

That sounds really strange! I registered in my current apartment two years ago and got the temporary registration form done in my local street centre office. I then had left and re-entered china about 6 times in one year. Last September I changed jobs and had to get new WP & RP. When I went for the RP all they asked me to do was get an up to date registration form based on last entry stamp. No documents from gardens I live in.

At the small police we got stamp at 6pm, and cop-woman told us we must always come and tell, when I leave the city and when I return. In China. Not only, when I exit China. When I leave the city, and travel around China. I'll leave it to the rep., however I must tell him always when I move. I'll might forget to tell too. Henan.

New day: we were at (big) PSB will all extra documents, and cop accepted all docs. and my passport, which will be returned with new RP in some 20 days.
RP will be a bit shorter than 1-year (some 350 days, if I understood correctly). New thing is, despite SAFEA stamped the Contract, PSB will issue RP for shorter duration than Contract.
As I argued, how can I respect signed Contract, (and work till the end of the Contract), if my RP expire earlier, cop replied 'I must respect length of the RP', which I was aware of it.
Whatever, we must return to PSB two weeks before RP ends, and either we must sign new Contract, or if we won't renew the Contract, PSB will give 30-days RP extension.
I'm not sure, if that is new RP rule, but it happened for the second time in Henan. Our first Contract, stamped by SAFEA will expire on August 31st, 2015, however RP will expire tomorrow, July 1st, 2015.
Weather changed too. It's partly sunny, no umbrellas or fishing boots needed anymore.
