There are an amazing amount of Community Based Organizations in the cities. You can find some on idealist.org but also some here - NGOCN.net

There's a really good 'feed the homeless' drive in my city, actually set up by an expat.  Essentially, they hand out baozi and soup to homeless people three times a week, and welcome as many volunteers as they can get.  Tried it out a couple of times before my new work schedule interfered.

but in china   volunteer  except  the original , it  is l more than like  a way of evading tax, some people showing .....

 

maybe volunteer career has long time to develop
