Q: What will happen to Private 'For profit ' grades 1 - 9 schools under new Chinese law?
It seems such schools will be banned unless they teach preapproved Chinese curriculum. Possible outcomes and options? Impact on teachers, students and parents?
They'll re-name themselves a 'training school', and some will pay mega-bucks to align with overseas curriculums for overseas university entrance, usually started at about grade 10, but will lowered to accomodate even pre-schoolers.
As for the effect on the rest, what's so surprising? Is this natural in most countries? The only real difference is the impact of some teaching (ie, politics, history). They'll end up more drone-like than previous generations (unbelievably!)
You should now icnif that it's very hard to get links in English to new Chinese reports. All we can generally work on is English news reports.
Heres one, I'll try and find more later.
