So the smog is apparently going to disappear tonight. When the skies become blue what will you do to celebrate?
Cant wait to not be stuck inside anymore.
wash my hair before i go out and be thankful I won't smell like a ash-tray when i return.
I watched report on the tell today, Chinese use drones to watch for smog from above, looking for biggest polluters.
Waiting for the next smog episode
The causes won't and can't be addressed in a few months : coal-made electric power, and vastly inefficient electric power usage. Even the electric scooter are basically coal-powered scooters For those in the North, come down in the South, your lungs will appreciate

Can you see sun daily in S. China?
Sunny last ten days in NW (Xin), freezing wind, 15 cm snow, which is melting during the day, and after 8pm is freezing. Pain in the .....butT, air is OK!
Scandinavian:
Yup. We've had a couple of lovely 20C blue sky days recently. The smoggy days happen too, but mainly when the wind comes from the north.

Suzhou is getting worse, pollution wise. We had one especially bad (AQI 400+) smog episode this winter, average level is nothing to be happy about (AQI 150)... But by the (depressing) Chinese standard, it's "good" (my hometown, a world famous agricultural and aeronautics center, is at 40 the bad days). At least, Suzhou is really well managed in general, have a good job market and lots of nice place to walk during your free time. We got a lot of sun (and humid heat...) 8 months in a year. Blue sky... More like faded blue at the top, grey-ish on the horizon, brown-ish the bad days.
Hold my breathe until I can see what is on the other side of the street.
