The food and the options to enjoy my day without spending an arm and a leg.

Also the stares.  Not that I actually miss being stared at or have to be the center of attention, but it almost feels weir walking the streets without all the eyes following you.

I will miss tons of things.  (I go home tomorrow for the first time in over 5 years.)

Family, friends, food, and even the chaos.  But, I am dying to find out how it feels to live (even for a short while) in a place that I consider, for the most part, civilized.

My fear isn't what I will miss, but whether I will have the will to return.

MissA:

Good luck to you.

I think I'll miss certain types of foods, being able to eat out cheaply so I don't have to cook every day, working so few hours. But I will be coming back to Asia in the fall, although I'm not sure if it will be China or Taiwan.

MissA:

I would love to spend some time in Taipei, I hope you can find something. In any case, it sounds from your posts that you really need to be in a bigger city with more life and more ways to blow your salary :)

The chaos, crowded buses, packed subway, people spitting, dirty hospitals, dirty eating places, peple being nosey, staring at you, pushing a camera in your face, not having the right of way to cross the road when the light is green. meat and other food that should be refridgerated left in the open, the list goes on
