I will be interning in Beijing with a logistics company but I am unsure what will be the correct dress code. Are Chinese employers more conservative in terms of styles, colors and lengths of skirts that are allowed? How about shoes, are flats ok?

To avoid trouble keep your top half well under wraps (no shoulders and no cleavage). As for your skirt, it doesn't seem to be an issue in China what length it is. That is as long as you wear stockings or tights. I wouldn't wear black shoes ( I heard it's for older women). You could wear any shoe (formal) Here people who sell fish in the market wear suits and high heels. I've even seen a Chinese lady climb a mountain in stilettos! Because of such, dress codes are not so important here but they will stare if they see your shoulders.... strange indeed.
if you have big breast wear low-tops, sleeveless. if your office is very cool, dont wear a bra.very very short skirts or shorts.
do the opposite of this and you'll be fine
also understand your employers may ask you to wear any kind of clothing skimpy or otherwise and i do mean skimpy
You can accord to the Chinese bank stuff. Wearing formally helps with your working performance. Good luck.
