Q: What would you do for 1 million Kuai?

If somebody offered you a million kuai what are the things you would do for the money and what are the possible things they may ask of you that you wouldn't consider doing for the money?

What would I do for $160,305.47 CAD? Well, golly, geepers, I'd be willing to work less than a year in Canada, if it came down to an amount that spectacular.

Well, considering that it is a nice chunk of change, I might be willing to do something embarassing, as long as I won't regret it for the rest of my life, or challenge my values in any way. However, it's not as tempting as a million dollars. Chances are I'd just refuse the money, because who knows what kind of prick would offer that, and I'd probably be unwilling to do anything they'd ask of me. Money isn't free. What are you, a genie?

For that money I would be willing to work for the Chinese government and post bull shit on various websites to create a favourable opinion of China amongst the expat community.....for 1 year.

Probally the extact same things I'd do for a Klondike Bar.

mattaya:

I would lick a tootsie pop until I find out how many licks it takes to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop.

DaBen:

273 licks to get the first true lick of tootsie roll. An additional 1179 licks to leave nothing but the tootsie roll. (numbers will vary depending of how much surface is covered in what you consider a lick). West Point liked to waste my time by having me guard random stuff, I had a lot of time to kill. So you can just go ahead my pay me the money.

It's not that much money. I have that in savings. 50 million dollars would be different. One milliion Kuai would just get a nice vacation.

Only if it is worth my time then I will try out what the person would be asking for me to do. I would do embarrassing things but only if it is not harmful to my body & my temple! laugh

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
