Q: What would you rank your favorite super/hyper-markets as?

I'd say mine are:

1 BHG - for imports and convenience

2 Carrefour - for convenience, inclusiveness, prices

3 Wal-Mart - still good, but not as good atmosphere

4 Auchan - still serviceable, but getting thin with the selections

5 Wu-mart - for the laughs

What are yours? And why?

1. CarreFour - overall best selection, has actual cheese

2. Jusco/AEON - a bit pricy but has a good selection

3. Wal-Mart - there is only one in town, it has a horrible layout, but has all the stuff needed

4. Vanguard - Usually pretty big, the ones here in town has good fresh food selections.

I hated Walmart in my old city. No butter, no cheese, no bacon.

RT Mart was great. Awesome import section.

Here in Kunming I would say Carrefour.

I don't know the names of the other stores. I found 2 pieces of real swiss cheese once at Walmart, so I bought them, never saw real cheese ever again. I didn't really like Walmart, the prices weren't better and some things were garbage. I bought ''butter'', clearly marked as and it was margarine, but it stunk so bad, no way I was using it.

The grocery store at Niconicodo in Guilin, had real butter, bacon, ham, spaghetti and sauce but not good sauce. The stores are good if you like chicken feet and instant noodles or swallows on a stick etc.

I bought meat from a big market. I eat out alot.
