Q: What would your perfect day in China be like?
Jiuzhaigou in Spring, not in the tourist season, a pack lunch and my family, no mosquitos, back to the hotel for an early dinner, all the dishes come at the same time, my kid doesn't crap during dessert then falls asleep as soon as we put him down for the evening, I reach the end of level 3 on Bioshock and the wife thinks i'm a hero for doing so instead of a loser for playing video games at my age, and what happens later that night is none of your business but it involves jello, an easyclean washomatic hairdryer, and a family sized pack of surgical stockings.
Someone would have had to invent a beam me up Scotty transporter system so I don't have to drive or use public transport, either that or they teach the mainland Chinese driving etiquette, probably the former will happen before the latter.
Then a trip up into the mountains of Northern Guangxi, and a day under one of the waterfalls, not too hot a day, 25 - 30C will do. Then a multi fruit lunch, Mango, Pineapple, Lychee, Rambustan, Grapes, etc. Then take my daughter paddling in the pool, she's suddenly become potty trained so no mess and she never cries or gets in a mood.
Back home, and a simple meal, French toast, fresh baguettes with Bri, Camembert and mustard ham, crackers and Stilton, and a Bufallo Mozarella salad with a good bottle of (probably) Australian Shiraz. Then an evening with some friends and a few beers and nice conversation, (the daughter magically puts herself to bed), then the night just to my wife and I.
No rain, not too hot, finding a real steak, good coffee with cream, seeing signs in windows "30 minutes or it's free",,
