Some good ones there.. I would add Twisted Sister and Guns and Roses.
I've heard of some of the above mentioned bands. Perhaps I can recall a song. too. And I can reference Faster Pussycat only to Kill Bill.
But that's all. Was the 80's a metal rock wasteland? Or am I uninformed?
Its gotta be all the classics: Guns N' Roses, Smith and Ozzy and more.
Shouldn't the question be 'What is your favourite 80s Chinese Heavy Metal band' ?
Point?
Robk:
Oh yeah man... best Chinese metal band and songs would be:
- Swift execution by We are the CCP
- Don't talk back by We are the CCP
- Tank Man, Get the F*ck out of the way by We are the CCP
- If you are listening to this music refer to song 1 by We are the CCP
Hmm... I think the best are:
Journey (though some consider it a 70s band)
Def Leppard (for sure)
Metallica
Guns and Roses
Black Sabbath...
Iron Maiden, Trust, Spinal Tap.
DrMonkey:
- Nigel Tufnel: The numbers all go to eleven. Look, right across the board, eleven, eleven, eleven and...
- Marty DiBergi: Oh, I see. And most amps go up to ten?
- Nigel Tufnel: Exactly.
- Marty DiBergi: Does that mean it's louder? Is it any louder?
- Nigel Tufnel: Well, it's one louder, isn't it? It's not ten. You see, most blokes, you know, will be playing at ten. You're on ten here, all the way up, all the way up, all the way up, you're on ten on your guitar. Where can you go from there? Where?
- Marty DiBergi: I don't know.
- Nigel Tufnel: Nowhere. Exactly. What we do is, if we need that extra push over the cliff, you know what we do?
- Marty DiBergi: Put it up to eleven.
- Nigel Tufnel: Eleven. Exactly. One louder.
- Marty DiBergi: Why don't you make ten a little louder, make that the top number and make that a little louder?
- Nigel Tufnel: [pauses] These go to eleven.
ScotsAlan:
Iron Maiden yup. I gave away original albums as I was packing my case to come here.
Iron Maiden, I've been lucky enough to see them live twice
Metallica, because they introduced me to metal in the first place
Dio, just badass, sadly RJ Dio passed away 2 months before I was supposed to see Heaven and Hell in concert
Guns N Roses. And it's a damned shame what happened to that band. Genius, ruined by egomania...
