Q: what is your favorite Chinese word or phrase?
yeah yeah we all know about grass mud and horses ,
beautiful is probably one of my like words .
some words jus5 have a nice tone and others could get you into trouble in the wrong company like shopping "buy that "
tell us your word or phrase
mamahuhu - not only sounds interesting but also kind of sums up China itself.
What does it mean?
I always loved it when the cute girls would end every sentence with: la 啦
a sweet, melodious tone. best I can figure it doesn't mean anything,,, kinda like a vocal sigh... but not even that is right,,, it's just a thing they do,, and I like it. :)

yeah, I didn't think I was correct in saying China, but I just couldn't remember where. :(
I fancy 'ni shi laowai/waiguoren' and I use it 
fairly often.
Since I don't know too many Chinese phrases/words, always when I have Q in China, I try with 'show&tell-in English'....When I get reply either 'no ming bai' or 'buzhidao' I always get back with: 'ni shi laowai' either as a statement and sometimes when I have my moments I would like to ask that.
Chungwaren's reply is usually: 'meiyou, I am chungwaren...and repeat 'ni shi laowai' with finger pointing and laugh....

I'm going to check Guizhou-ren this pm with my fav Chinese phrase.....I was listening to Guizhou-ren talk yesterday at Kunming airport and their Chinese talk sound is different than elsewhere in China. It must be accent
....

MY favorite phrase is 我会考虑一下 [I'll think about it], when asked yet for another favor.
Gun kai is a very useful word....Get the f%&k outta my way. I use it often and freely on my daily commute.
