Q: What's an affectionate Chinese pet names for a girlfriend?

Just wondering what terms they use here. Meinv is kinda generic. What else do they often use?

usually, what boys do is use the girlfriends name twice. If a girl is calle Yu Chen, then she will often be addressed as Chen Chen, Liu Cong will be Cong Cong, etc.
As to having an equivalent to "Darling" or "Honey" I will need to ask around.

I agree on repeating a word twice. Names such as Bu Bu, CoCo, and actually TaiTai means wife so that can also be used.

Call your wife taitai? Seriously?

i think  "Darling" or "Honey" is better, as you can call any girlfriend "darling", it is difficult  to make a mistake if you have many girlfeiends.

My GF asked me to call her "Sweetie", she likes that.  I used to call her Yin Yin (Rose Rose) but she claims I misspronounce it so badly she has no idea what I am saying.

And the reverse, when she is in a good mood and maybe wants something, she will call me "honey".  When she is upset at me she calls me "stupid".

My girlfriend calls me 小宝贝儿(xiao baobei), vice-versa. Cute as hell.

nevermind:

That sounds fucking gay as hell.
