Q: What's the attraction of having a Chinese partner over one from somewhere else?
Those of you who are qualified to know...what's the attraction?
And what are the advantages/disadvantages?
Would you change anything about your Chinese partner if you could?
Would you change your mind, given the chance?
The attraction? Meh, they're human beings. There's no advantage over another woman in the world. It depends on who you find, what you like, etc. Find a woman who wants the same thing as you, regardless of where she's from. 99% of the women I dated in the U.S. kept telling me how they didn't want kids, weren't ready for them, and wanted to focus on their careers first.
Advantage: Women are the same everywhere...
Disadvantage: Women are the same everywhere... sorry, MissA/Sorrel, all women are nuts! 
But I'm sure we men look crazy to you as well!
Would I change anything about her? I'd give her American tastebuds if I could.

Living in China, having a Chinese wife.
Advantages: You have someone you trust to do translations, to introduce you to people and make sure you don't get screwed each time cash transactions occur. Chinese mother in law.
Disadvantages: You get somewhat disconnected from the expat community. Having rice too often. Chinese mother in law.
My wife is perfect, why change that.
for me it is not that my wife is Chinese it is what lies beneath that attracted me to her. Sure she has a lot of the traits that we talk about here , 
but besides that she is still my best friend , I bet she could list ten times as many bad traits that I have in comparisom . 
Where we come from should not be the underlaying base for a relationship
I did not "pick" my wife based on pondering 'good' and 'bad' lists. I just felt she was a really good person with whom I good live happily, and it was reciprocal. Previous experiences taught me I would wait for a while before having such luck again, and we were in love anyway 
Being in China, well, she happen to be Chinese.
Advantage
* He/she is born here, so he/she have a longer experience of how things works
* He/she speaks the language probably better than you do
Disadvantage
* Deciding where to settle-down, with the whole filial devotion thing (if we apply the same reasoning to both partners, it's a loose-loose game)

I find having a Chinese partner most suitable as I get to see her more often than if she, say, lived in Brazil.
Think it depends on what stage of life ur at i.e. age & also exactly what you want/desire in a partner.
I know some guys in my age group (50s) that basically want to be looked after & life in China made easier, then finding the 'right' woman / partner is not particulary difficult
.
However, if like me I want a good friend as well as a sexual partner, (I know how to look after myself eg cook,clean, dress etc haa) to share a good laugh & discuss issues in a meaningful way...not so easy
.Of course, it also depends on your Chinese lingo skills, mine are shite, so I do need her to have pretty good level of english.
I've had a couple of long term relationships here, and they have been great ladies,but mainly cos of cultural/value differences they simply didn't work out. But I haven't given up hope! I'm sure I'll find the right one for me yet, afterall the law of averages is on my side ~ right? There's alot of divorced/single ladies in China..God bless em.

I always find this type of question perplexing. Why do you date Chinese girls? Why do you like Chinese girls?
It's because I'm in Fu**ing China. I f I were in Japan it would be Japanese girls, if it were Mar's it would be Martian girls.

Well if you had such other partners maybe you could compare them to Chinese for the benefit of the question. Obviously a Chinese partner is useful for assistance in everyday stuff but maybe the OP was looking for something a little deeper.
I'll have a stab and cut my teeth. You may disagree but it's my point of view. not going to do a comparison but a list regarding Chinese partner.
Attractions:
great way to learn the language,
asian and caucasian have nice looking babies,
the mix of the skin colour,
maybe you could be attracted to the culture mix it brings,
mixing all the positives associated with each race having resultant offspring,
offspring with above average mathematics or multilingual for example!
gives kids an excellent chance to succeed in the world,
gives you yourself access to the largest market in the world,
Chinese partners are supposedly very loyal.
Not attractive:
lack of communication / lost in translation issues,
lack of understanding of advanced English,
they can be quite small,
they have been exposed to pollution most of their lives,
their way of thinking is programmed almost,
the fear of causing trouble,
the sucking sound with teeth,
the clearing the throat sound,
small boobies,
large dark hanging inner labia (not my taste),
the constant marriage or engagement talk or references,
the insistence that the smog is only fog,
the decision of where to settle if needs be (as certainly not China)

That's a good question.
I would not change my wife in any fashion, she is by best friend and she has the qualities i was looking for. We help each other out. We love each other for who we are and not pretending to be something we are not.
From my experience it is not about race , but what comes from the heart.
To change my mind not in a trillion years.
There is no advantages i see, with the exception that she translates for me when i need it done.
