Boil some chopped ginger in water. After 30 minutes, take the ginger out, wait for it to cool and drink it in one go.

Yep, it's strong, but it gets you over a cold.

Scandinavian:

I had a doctor recommend boiling the ginger i Cola to get over a cold. warm flat cola with ginger taste, not the worst thing to have, but would rather have the cola cold and skip the ginger

DEAR ONES, IF THE GINGER TEA WORKED, IMAGINE: AN END TO THE COMMON COLD . . . WOULDN'T WE ALL BE DOING THAT?  WHETHER YOU USE WESTERN, MEDICINE, TRADITIONAL CHINESE B.S., OR JUST LAY IN BED AND DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS, THE RESULTS ARE PROVEN THE SAME: one week in bed to get over a cold. end of story, kids.
