Q: What's the best "Congee" you had in China?

A Chinese friend took me to one of these outdoor places in Guangzhou that open at night and ordered the best crab congee...

In Hangzhou just off Honglong Lu, in between the park and the stadium, there is a tiny little uninteresting door that leads to a fancy restaurant on the second floor. Look around and you'll find it. It's by the bank of Hangzhou.

They serve mainly Chinese food, but also the most high-quality steak I've ever had, covered in a fine cheese. Everything they serve is gourmet, but their shrimp congee is probably the best thing you will eat, in your life. Really expensive though. I have to stop myself from going to Hangzhou, because every time I do I end up blowing 400-500 on a dinner for two.
