Q: What's the biggest phobia you've got since you came here?
Understanding Chinese thinking like Chinese Becoming Chinese 
Fear crossing the street. Is it an 'official' phobia?
Crossing the street is nothing. I'm pretty good at frogger, if a little crazy. Many Chinese wont cross the road in the way I do it.
But my phobia? I'm a sinophobe, actually. I'm afraid of everything Chinese.
Eating fruit. The number of times I've bitten into a peach and found a worm in it... Yuck!
Maggots!
I cooked up some veg a few weeks ago and found at least 10 small maggots after I had tipped it on my plate.
My dinner went straight in the bin but too late as I had already eaten some of the broccoli...

hehe,,, yeah,, I wonder how many newbies feel about mags and bugs,,,, hehe,,, funny,,, hehe,, i was kinda surprised people ate bugs when I first lived in Isan,,,, but now,, I can understand,, why not? protein,, free,, available,... actually is smart to eat... not have to be main meal,,,, but as a 'side dish',,, not bad.

Not exactly a phobia of germs, but any time I touch something outside, I have this strong urge to wash my hands thoroughly with soap.

The food, the water, the air, the traffic and being spit or sh_t on
I've got a lot but the biggest one is with this pollution and the phobia that it cuts years off your life and is bad for you the more you are exposed to it..

Imagine being in a restaurant, a kid yells something, and then you only hear one more thing, a parent asking the kid to be quiet.
Scolionophobia, the fear of schools, or coulrophobia, the fear of clowns. Sometimes, the two go together...
