Q: What's with Chinese fashion?
Ok so there's one thing that gets to me every day... some of the outfits and accessories women wear here. I mean, it sometimes baffles me how they even manage to get that much glitter and tack on one outfit. So the question is: do Chinese women actually like that fashion or are they wearing it because they can't afford anything else?
A lot of it is quite ridiculous, I agree. Seeing all these girls with grapevines around their shoes or fake plastic diamonds everywhere is just...
I don't think it's so much a question of money, though...I think a lot of the tawdry stuff is indeed limited funds mixed with bad taste, but for the fancier stuff, it's also excessive and gaudy.
Guess it just takes time for fashion to hit in...or maybe this is just what people like here
