Q: What's going on at the Bird's Nest these days?

Are they still making use of the stadium? If so, what's in there now? Is it worth it to go there just to check it out?

When I was there there was not a lot going on except for lots of tourists and touts selling left over souvenirs from the Olympics and rip off tours to the Great Wall. It was still worth a visit as it is an impressive structure as is the water cube and they are easily accessed from the subways line. The water cube now has a water park inside so it may be worth checking out as well.

I think they are currently using the Bird's Nest for some performances. Why don't you do a search online?

Depends on the season of the year. They have had concerts to some type of snow park during christmas. Also, one of the famous european soccer teams played beijing's team at that stadium last year. Lionel Messi's team came to Beijing and played last year.
