Q: Whats a good out of China destination for National week?

Im worried that national week will turn out to be like spring festival. Everything shut down inside China, all the resort destinations totally booked up and travel a nightmare.

Is national week as bad as spring festival? Could I get to Korea without to much cost or expense? Should I just hide in my house?

I was just in Thailand and it was cheap to eat, stay in nice hotels and travel around to the beaches and cultural hot spots. also its super cheap shopping, though you have to bargain and they are better at screwing you over in Thailand than in China because of the hordes of tourists they always have.

Just stock up on tasty treats and make a huge pillow fort to hide in until the holiday is over.

If your food runs out or the pillow fort isn't enough to fill your boredom, you should have a couple of small but nice looking bottles of baijiu in stock. With a bottle in hand, you can go knocking door to door, eventually someone will invite you in for a meal and maybe some gambling.

WARNING: You will end up having to drink some of that piss flavored wine while visiting these strangers.
