Q: What's the holiest of all relics in China?
iPads. Some say these relics are shrouded in secrecy as they emerge from a mysterious compound near the holy city of Shenzhen. 
Relics require religious belief. China is not a religious country, so there is nothing for a relic to be attached to.
The closest thing I know of that is sort of close (aside from wealth and power) is the emperors "lucky" dragons in the forbidden city. People from all over China travel there just to rub the dragon in order to improve their luck. Other than that, I can think of nothing.
Xpat John, I'm not sure how you have decided to define 'religious belief' but I can't think of any other country (maybe Rome?) where more deities, spiritual charms, idols and sacrificial systems, holy days and more long lists of folk religious customs can be found and throughout public and private life,
however,
If I had to pick a most sacred relic? I'd say.. the 'Dragon Seat'. the Emperors throne. (??) and maybe the Leshon Buddha.
Another thing is something about a Buddha finger bone. Apparently a big deal.
Mao's Mausoleum would certainly be an official and highly regarded relic.
But I'm going to go with the Dragon Chair thing. China's highest most holy single sacred relic.
