Q: What's the most amount of money that you've found so far while staying in China?

I found 100 dollars or what's equivalent to that in chinese money! I found it in a casino!

I did see someone drop around 600 kuai once and as they walked away I stopped them

so they could pick up their lost money. A couple of people were coming towards the money

and the money would have sure been lost. I was actually taking a rest and the lady was with

her mother and her daughter and as she was taking something out of her coat that's when

I saw her drop six 100 rmb notes. . .

She thanked me in Chinese: "XIe Xie" and I felt I had done my good deed.

What's the most you've found whether you kept it or not.

I once saw a hundred yuan bill fall out of a drunk man's back pocket near a bar's entrance.

He looked pretty wealthy, and I was a broke student, so without hesitating, I took the bill and ran. Towards him to give it back. He didn't thank me.

I'm stupidly honest.

:

hahahahahah this is honestly hilarious. I like it as I would have done the same and woud laughed at it too. It's good to hear there are still stupidily honest people.

JungleLife:

This is China, nobody is that honest. In his mind you are not honest, but just stupid, that is why he never thanked you, he probably looks at you as just a stupid person. So wouldn't respect you.

Found a 10 RMB bill in the middle of nowhere. Nobody to claim it, etc. Thanks for breakfast, God.

Today I lost my weightlifting gloves (cost 40 kuai) and have huge callouses now. So, someone made money today I guess?

My ex-gf used to be pretty lucky finding money when she was with me, nothing big, but she seemed to spot money on a weekly basis. A 10 here, a 20 there. It seemed as though she was actually looking for money, because she would spot the notes from a good distance away.

chenhan:

haha,that's funny,i hope i could be that lucky.But i haven't found even a penny so far.Instead,i lost 300 yuan a few months ago.

I knew  a Chinese teacher who found about 30,000 Yuan while marking end of year English exams. Does that count?

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
