Q: What's one thing about China that you would like to see introduced into your own country?

Sticky rice.

The existence of 粽子 (zongzi) almost justifies China's "5000 years of history".

The nifty hand-signals-for-numbers thing. Great in a crowded market.

The death penalty.

Controversial, but, when people are charged beyond all doubt, why let them live?

TedDBayer:

Here here, and fry troublesome sociopathes too. Laws at home are too lax. Prision can be too easy if you get minimum security, your own room and never locked, eat any time and go outside any time, just can't leave the grounds, almost like a Club Med. Then half way houses where the inmates never want to leave.

seriously. 3 hour lunch breaks may seem like you get freedom, but isn't it better to get stuff done, go home and have some proper free time.

My wife works for the government here, she gets three hour lunch breaks but is still home by half five.

That's the good stuff.

The ability to avoid responsibility or confrontation with a simple "mei wei shen me", "mei ban fa", or "ting bu dong".  Comes in handy actually.

I must agree with some of the above posters. I really think tipping should be abolished.

And in western countries illegal immigrants seem to have more rights than the citizens.  In America police are not allowed to arrest illegals .

Tax free beer and cheap massages.

Red_Fox:

A massage "therapist" having gone to beauty school or a woo-woo massage school for 6 months in Austin, Texas commands roughly 60-to-80 US$ an hour for a crap rubdown. (I once had an "expert" back in Austin spend 10 minutes on my Achilles tendon until I told her to cease and desist! It's a tendon not a muscle!)

Here in China you get much, but much better value. So I second your suggestion . Thumbs up, buddy.

when i get a charge on my china merchants credit card over 100 rmb , instantly i get a text message of the charge, service fee is 30 rmb a year for the service.

bank of america would probably charge 5 dollars a month for it in the states if they could do the service.

my phone would instantly let me know if someone else has the card or using my account, not a bad feature to have.

i also think we should go to prepaid cards for all utilities , saving the postage, billing and the credit report scam that poor people have to put up higher deposits for phone ,electricity, gas and water because their credit is bad.

the post office is bankrupt in america anyway, might as well put the beast down and be done with it.

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
