Q: What's a special gift to buy, in China, for a Chinese girl?
I want to go out and find a special gift for my Chinese girlfriend's birthday. I've managed to pull it off for a couple of years, but given my limited Chinese language skills, it's becoming harder and harder.

let me tell you something, so many chinese girls have this misconception that that love is measured by how much a man spends on her, either way be careful you dont want her to always expect expensive gifts

i made this mistake ones but after that bammm ! i never bought any gift for Chinese girls but i got a lot gifts after changing my foreign policy with them. zoo town as Chinese put it by them self [ love your money, its the best thing to love in china]. so better do as Chinese do . buy a gift but never so expensive which can give you a big gap in your monthly budget.

(she was away for my birthday so when she came over before she left she hid it in my apartment and when my birthday came around the next week, i was so sad that i wouldn't see her. she called me and gave me clues to where it was. and she wrote me a letter that said how much she loves me.) I have never bought her expensive things, love isn't something that can be bought (unless you like "those girls" you know what i'm talking about)
