In Chongqing, it's 42 in the day and 32 at night. Yes, it freaking hot! Every time I step out the heat hits me and my face falls off. The humidity at 80 makes me sweat like a pig after 20 meters. Locals say that this will last till mid Sept. Think I will melt like a bar of chocolate soon. I know Guangzhou is around 35 with some days hitting 38 but this here is impossible!
So what's the weather like at your end?
10 years 8 weeks ago in Health & Safety - China
Hot as hell! I showered today 4 times, another one before bed. Cold water, only.
Air-condo is for sleeping room only. Living room with kitchen and open balcony doors. If T-shirt on, it gets soaking wet, while I'm typing 1 reply on eChina. Washing machine can do 5 T-shirts and 1 towel in one wash. Big machine!
I don't know the real temp., 'cause small city (Jianou, 2.5h N of Fuz. by bus), but it's usually 2-3*C warmer than Fuzhou. However, I have 77 other problems, you don't want to know.
Yahoo weather for Fuzhou at 11pm: 'Feels Like 94°F/29*C Visibility 6.21mi Humidity 79%'

29? That's cool...down here, the sun will dry you out! If you want a good tan, now's the time!

Passport at PSB today +7 days = next Tuesday, heading to HK for a day, and then to Dali, Yunnan, for 2 weeks. Title of the 'study' 'Ethnic minorities'
jinan is 38 all the time because if the government admits its over 40 they have to send all the government workers home with pay, when they passed the law, all the temperatures signs at the banks disappeared, imagine that. thank god for air conditioning otherwise it would be to hot for fornication and beer, then my life would be completely useless.
louischuahm:
You mean the local government actually made it a law that if temperatures went above 40, everyone gets to go off? Wow! I'd be off everyday here!
ambivalentmace:
only the government workers, not sure about private companies
Suzhou, 30c to 35c day time, 25c night time, very humid, with quick rains some days.
Keeps my skin moist, but when I run, I'm *really* moist.
Hotter than I would like it. It's been 35C the past few days. I'm ok with the air conditioner in my room. Otherwise, the locals would rather leave the windows open and sweat....wouldn't want to catch a cold in summer now would we?
9.45am in Nanning and it is 29c but the heat index has pushed it up to 34c. This afternoon it should feel like 38/39.
louischuahm:
It's 10:20am here and already 34. Surface temperature should be in the 40s now. My rubber soles will probably melt. By mid day, it will be 42 and I can probably cook on the sidewalk!
After last year - no one is allowed to complain
and anyway it's been quite mild so far
Very mild here in Dalian., 22 today 29 in the afternoon.
Gloomy weather with light rain here in Xi'an, 19c.
louischuahm:
Only 19c!? Argh!!! I want to be in Xi'an right now! It's 39c here, another 2 months before it cools down.
jandii090692:
Yeah, feelin' lucky. But last week was damn hot, around 40c.
Sunny, warm and dry, with cool breezes. Anywhere else is like that in China? I seriously doubt it.
Hot, Hazy, Humid, muggy and oppressive. 31 but feels hotter. I am a snow person. I would prefer being cold than hot. At least when I am cold I can put on thicker clothes. When I'm hot, I can't remove skin.
TedDBayer:
I am Canadian and sick of being cold 9 months of the year. In places that are hot, yahoo free heat. I'd rather sweat buckets than have body parts freeze off.

We are comrades!!! Come to Urumqi and I'm sure you'll like the weather here before you get killed by one of the bearded men.
19 degrees C, cool breeze, little dark with occasional full-light patches...
Oh, wait, that's my spare room with the air-con on
Outside, it's cooled down from the low 30's to the high 20's... but dark
