Where have you been that was worse than where you live in China now? I'm mean a place you would rather not EVER go to, let alone live? Just curious. Give 5 and explain
1-Camden NJ- A hellhole of urban blight, no culture, and a crime rate from hell
2-Gumi South Korea. Boring, Industrial, Nothing good about it
3-Oslo Norway-Bizarre, ugly, full of Muslim immigrants, which shocked me. I mean I want to travel to the mideast, and am 25% Arab by birth, but I though Norway would be full of trolls and Hardanger Fiddles, and it ends up being full of Somalis who spoke excellent English. Quite the shocker.
4-West Virginia-Any part of WV where you can see people is bad. Scenic beauty, YES, local economy? No.
5-Rural Florida in summer without air conditioning. Flat, humid, 39 degree weather, and everything smells like it is rotting.
-So yeah my life in Changchun is better than these five places.
I guess the middle east should be at the top of my list
1- Canada in winter, nothing like having 5 feet of snow fall on you, summers are great though, usually not too hot, just too short. Too many welfare rats. I only put this here because I spend too much time here.
2- USA, Texas, Crazy people running around with chain saws
3- Caribbean islands, too poor, too small, often too corrupt.
4- Mexico, too hot, must bargain for every thing, like China, just give me a price already. Some parts too dangerous
5- Honduras, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia- too dangerous
Every where else cause China is the best place in the world
How about iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, India and Republic of Kongo!
Life sucks and then you are dead. Life is what you make it.

I hate this idea, cause it ain't true. One man likes the city another likes the sea. But the sea is not the city, and the city is not the sea. All things are not the same, in quality or kind.
Notice people it says "Where have you been" So I doubt you've done Congo, NK, And Iraq.
Congo, North Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, mother-in-law's house
1 & 2: I didn't enjoy my time in Afghanistan, nor did I like Iraq much more.. those two speak for themselves. I'm not sure which I hated more. Afghanistan is a hell-hole and Iraq is.. well frankly, they were better off WITH Saddam.
3: Next would probably be Dongguan. I don't know why, but I hate that entire area. I'm sure there is much more to DG, but having lived there for a short time... I was miserable. Even with good company.. I hated it.
4: Harlem, NY. Okay, so Harlem isn't that bad actually, there are many great places in the area. I hate this place because while at Columbia, I had chosen to live off-campus and Harlem was all I could afford on my stipend. I think Harlem isn't a good place for a Ginger.
5: Any urban area in the USA that is over-saturated with white people. Now, as previously mentioned I am a Ginger, which means I am white, so this isn't a racist thing... Ask me why I say this and its hard for me to express my feeling. It's instinctual. If the area in question is more rural or small town, than it's fine. However in some cities, white people just bunch up together, rich or poor, and I think the result is terrifying.
I have travelled to, been deployed to, lived in and worked in 34 different countries.
Nowhere has frustrated me or annoyed me or demoralised me more than here. Even when I deployed to the gulf it was better than here because I knew when I would be able to go home.
Lots more military guys in China than I expected. Or at least this forum.
