Q: What's your bucket list and does it involve China?

A bucket list, in case you don't know, is a list of things you'd do if you were told you only had a short time left to live. It's really not a 'China' related question at all, I just added the 'China' bit to keep admin happy. But the board looks bored, so.....

pfffft. John Lennon also wrote "You may say I am a dreamer, but I'm not" what lack of ambition is that. Almost makes me wonder if Mr Lennon was Chinese. This would also explain why Yoko caused so much turmoil.

to survive the torture of my new domina.... China.. perhaps she will respect the safe word...

eat the most perfect sirloin

become fluent in Mandarin

get a bit of respect that i dont necessarily deserve

and think of a good safe word before i arrive in China!

If I had to knowingly spend my last days in China, I would probably...

1. Smoke in an elevator

2. Run a red light

3. Cut in line

4. Poorly parallel park my car

5. Complain just to get a discount

Oh my god it all makes sense now... I think every Chinese person is dying soon...

If my bucket list were to involve China, then there is only choice.

I would personally go looking for all of those posters on this Board who have been impertinent to me, at least the males anyway,  and make sure I found them in front of their Chinese wives or girlfriends, and then I would say to them in my best Chinese :  "honey, your boyfriend or husband is the best f*ck that I have ever had".  I would make sure that I did it publicly.

And just to ensure maximum indigestion, I would bring a gay Chinese bodybuilder friend along, who has a great sense of humor, and I would have him say in Chinese, in front of the Chinese significant other, "honey, your husband or boyfriend is the best f*ck that I ever had".

Guaranteed sweet revenge right from the bucket list.

Scandinavian:

wauw, that makes you a really small person.

"gay Chinese bodybuilder" OK, you might want to look up the word "pleonasm"

My bucket list gets crossed off every day.  I intend on living happily;  living in the moment, and not worrying about stuff I can't control.  If I really want to do something (as per fantastic 'bucket list' items) I either make it happen in the short term or just put it out of my mind and forget it.  That way, I'm not always thinking about my 'future plan'.

I'm totally OK dying tomorrow.  (not that I want to, but I wouldn't be all "oh my God I didn't do ________!!")

mArtiAn:

Good answer. I'd still like to break into Carnegie Hall and blow my sax centre stage for as long as it took for security to come and wrestle me to the ground though.

Just because I need to kill time-

1. Visit Machu Picchu

2. Climb a mountain (must be significant and one I have to train intensely for)

3. Sky dive

4. Slackline with no rope over a high drop

5. Surf on an Australian coast

6. Play a poker game with a big amount at stake

7. Rent an old beaten up car and do a big road trip around several states in America (Texas being one)

8. Ride the biggest rollercoaster in the world (front seat)

9. Play guitar in front of an audience

10. Be an actress in an indie film, whether it becomes a hit or not

11. Stay at a stupidly expensive hotel for one night

12. Finish my book

13. Fall asleep on the beach and wake as the sun comes up

14. Take a trip on a little boat for a month or so

15. Attend a lantern celebration/festival (Where they send thousands of lantern to the sky)

16. Find a dancing partner that I'm happy dancing with and work real hard at it

17. Work as a ranch hand

18. Fall in love for the first time.

Here's just a selection I guess. Guess I better get started...right now.

You could easily knock out #9. Do you know any songs?

Anyway, I like your list, FWIW.

Fall in love for the first time? Awwwwwww....

Anyhow, slice, quite a number of those can be done in one day on a visit to Sydney.

You can come and surf in loads of places (tick), all the hotels in Sydney are ridiculously expensive (tick), you can head out at night for a hand of poker (tick) and then fall in love with the dealer (tick, if you're a 'love at first sight' kida gal, I admit this one's a bit patchy), and after a crazy night of dancing (tick) pass out with your new love on Bondi (tick) before deciding to elope with your new love to a ranch (tick, but we call them 'stations' here instead of ranches so I don't know if you'll count it).

Not really Bill8899, I know some  riffs and chords etc, but I haven't got a full song pegged yet. You can play right?

And MissA I like your thinking a hell of a lot! I have a trip to OZ booked next year already so by damned am I gonna give it a good shot!

And yeah, first time, I have just met too many boys..I need a man (preferably with a beard or some tattoos etc..just saying).

If a 'bucket list' includes what I would do if I'm dying, then I would visit my friend in Beijing and go home until the end. How morbid.

On the other hand if a bucket list includes life goals, I'd say finish an MS, improve my guitar playing, and maybe, just maybe find a gal I can live with. Or, more to the point, find a gal who can tolerate me. Oh, and return to Puerto Penasco or Cabo or both at least once.

Not really a list, but I would love to work in conservation, perhaps helping to save mountain gorillas or rhinos. Smile

Failing that, be a voiceover on my favourite anime show or video game.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
