Q: What's your favourite Chinese film?

I have heard many foreigners like the film "crouching tiger, hidden dragon" and it won some awards in Oscar .But it seems Chinese don't like it that much.I'm a little curious what's your favourite Chinese film and why.plus,by Chinese film I mean the films including mainland films,HK films and Taiwan films.

Also you can tell me which Chinese film you hate most and why.

favourite: Infernal Affairs HK 2002

least favourite: Chinese Zodiac Jackie Chan, 2012. I almost cried it was so bad cool

angelina8:

I LOVE Infernal Affairs. It's one of my favorite movies overall. It's a shame it's not as famous as The Departed, Infernal Affairs is better. And yes, I have a huge crush on Tony Leung.

Good taste! Best story, best actors and impressive contents. Also Tony Leung's eyes....

Edit: I was forced to watch the Chinese Zodiac in last Spring Festival with my aunt and cousins...like some guys said, absolutely pain in the ass....in Chinese we call this kind of feeling 蛋疼!

For me, anything with Jackie Chan will be a waste of time, and sometimes money.

Anything with Bruce Lee in it.  These modern martial artists are a bunch of prancing pansies.

武侠,FENG XIAO GANG (ALMOST EVERY MOVIE) and many others. I actually do like also those trash-comedies where everything is mixed up: very representative of Chinese society.
