Q: What's your technique for keeping the bathroom dry when showering?
We all know that Chinese don't often have a bathtub, and so water goes all over the place. I have yet to get a shower curtain, am just wondering what everyone else does. Squeegee mop or reguar mop? wash with a basin? Dehumidifier?

we put a strip of raised tiles across the shower entry and shower curtain and of course a squeegee mop for tidy up
We have a closed shower with a floor that almosts has an incline towards the drain and the drain can almost handle the water when the tap is on full. For this reason we don't have a huge problem.
However. During the humid season we have to, when showering, close the window and door and have the fan on, otherwise the humidity just stays in the room and mold will start to grow. As it is not always possible to exit the shower without getting the floor wet, we have something like this http://detail.tmall.com/item.htm?spm=a2106.m990.1000384.208.AG7CEV&id=17013020860&scm=1029.newlist-0.tagbeta.50100910&ppath=&sku=&ug= (paid 60 for it in Jusco) It is a really easy way of getting liquid of the floor.

And my wife almost killed me, when I bought that tool for 40kuai

this one is some fancy brand (if there is such a thing as a fancy brand in the world of floor mops) they did have cheaper ones, but I had already testdriven the same model on my mother in laws floor after a water melon accident.
I used a squeegee and bought some plastic mats with suction cups from a dollar store. The floor dries quick enough under the mats. The clerk in the store said something to me and I made like I was squeeging my head, she almost fell over laughing.
Shower in the hall.

I'll change my showering technique! After I read last 2 replies.
I just let mine dry by itself, except in winter when I use a mop. I'm in good old spring city, not much humidity going on here, things dry fast.
On another note, my new apartment has a bath tub, but I can't for the life of me find a bath plug to fit it. Any suggestions?

My sink was the same, I used a plastic lid larger than the hole.
Once, when I was looking for an apartment I found a toilet in the middle of the shower

I've seen one where the shower was above the squatter as well, and then from a washing machine the drain pipe also going to the squatter.
You can shit, shower, shave and do laundry all at once.
