Q: When fireworks go off at 4am, what do you think they're celebrating?
a pretty regular occurrence where I live
superstition, unlike back home where the correct answer would be "drunken stupidity"
When it's done at six in the morning here it means someone has died.
could also be;
a baby birth
100 days old anniversary
wedding in another time zone
or maybe someone just got laid
No those are muskets. They're preparing for the nippon invasion.
for me, it wasn't the fireworks that woke me up early in the morning - it was a neighbours cock crowing at 5.00 am. Every night i hoped they had decided to eat it. Thankfully one day they did

Have you checked for a lot of ribbons, red paper and stuff? Sometimes someone died.

Aye....... Some people simply have no consideration others. You would think they were Chinese, the way that they carry on.
It's a superstition, It is believed that fireworks at late night can bring good luck to the new home you are about to move in.
