Q: When it's gonna stop?

I just witnessed a big accident this afternoon,  a crane crushed into a bus, the arm of the crane went through the middle of the bus,a lot of people got injured,  and there were a lot of police and two ambulances,  the first woman carried out was covered in blood, from head to toe, when they put her on the stretcher, she was shaking the fireman, i thought she was in shock, but the other lady said it's because her daughter, when they were in the bus, her daughter fell on her, and the arm of the crane went through her daughter's head, so all that blood came from her daughter. This is what I overheard, I don't know for sure.

It's already on the news,  when i looked it up this I noticed that in shanghai, since May, there were a lot of bus accidents.

I feel really bad , it just happened around me and it makes me feel nothing is safe. Life is so weak... You could die anywhere any minute, you might not have the chance to say goodbye to your family. Or if the accident was really terrible they may not even know who you are,................

I can't imagine how their families can go through this.

On the way back I asked the taxi driver if she know about the accident, she said no, and I saw all those police, bus, crane, people are gone, everything back to normal  like nothing happened, and life goes on. like nothing happened....

I acknowledge it but I don't like to think about it. It is way easier to leave it behind and continue life as an ignorant of the fact that any second you might die. Otherwise probably I wouldn't show up for work tomorrow and go partying instead.

Exactly what city did this happen at? I haven't heard anything yet this is the first...I will check the news sites just to check if your not fibbing or not. This story sounds kinda made up I hope this isn't a joke! Yeah but what do you expect people to do they can put flowers where the accident happened to remember the fallen victims and pray for them...

bonita8187:

It happened in shanghai this afternoon around 2:30. I could never forget when they carried that woman out... The news said a lot of people got hurt and they are in hospital now. Didn't mention anybody die. I hope nobody died.

Chinese people have to start giving a damn about their own lives and the lives of others. In china people do not see life as something precious. but when a loved one dies they go through a whole public act of burning money and crying in public. looks like theatre to me, more face BS. real change starts with the people saying enough is enough. I am willing to bet that there was no investigation into the cause of the accident. same as with the high speed train crash "clean it up quick and act like it never happened"

Agree with Crimo, the traffic laws in China are abysmal, along with their enforcement.  It will stop when people decide it's better to drive safely and respectfully than to rely on horns to shoo people away.  Of course there will always be traffic accidents, but the controlled chaos that everyone jokes about is clearly harming people.  People need to start giving a shit.

Hey Bonita, sorry you had to see that. It can be a very traumatizing event for a person and at least you can talk about it.

The horrid fact is that these things happen and you need to get past it. If you still feel depressed or can't stop thinking about it in a couple weeks you should seek some minor therapy.

Through my job I've seen some bad stuff and eventually became numb to it, but the first few were very hard and talking about it is a good thing.

Good luck.

I just read an article posted online yesterday.  The woman covered in blood had a 12 year old daughter. Her daughter suffered a massive head injury and her skull was cracked.  She was taken to the hospital and is currently in critical condition.  No one else on the bus was seriously hurt.  Let's pray for her.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
