How big a of raise was it, how long did you wait to get it, and did you have to ask , demand, or beg for it? I notice most Chinese are too afraid to even ask for one!
Did you get a raise to 6 Mao for posting inane questions & digging up zombie posts the last two days to copy/paste the same comments about SAFEA?
Got a raise of 2,000 RMB a month just last month. If you work hard, have good qualifications, aren't a feckless wastrel, and work on making yourself indispensable then the chances of a raise are good. If I don't get a raise I can always take my talents and hard work somewhere where they will be appreciated and aptly financially rewarded.
Allowed to move back home while keeping my job. All the social charges I have to pay to live back home, boss pays for it. It makes me 1.75x more expensive to my boss, but so far so good. Appelle moi Monsieur ^^
DrMonkey:
Not yet. In a few weeks. If by "bosom", you mean "not in Paris", yes.

In public, I'm French. In private, I can be more talkative ;)
When I became self employed.
I negotiated with myself for two or three weeks then resorted to begging. In the end, I just gave in to myself.
Robk:
LoL...
I am in the same situation. I was like "Can I have a raise?" - "Yes, but you need to work harder." - "Okay, I will work harder." - "Fine, you will get your raise."
Done and done. Luckily this month I am getting a raise. Nice way to start the new year.
I got raise (pay per hour) every year (for 4 years) in Nanjing IDF Summer Camp. Last year, New Oriental skipped me, and hired FT/student from Africa.
I got some 20% raise every year. They also yearly increased no. of my working hours.
my pension went up 1.8% this year.... my dollar value went down 13%..Canada dollar. I need a job!!!!
it sometimes seems like a Canada paycheque is worthless..I got some Tar Sands Oil for sale, any takers? or they have plenty of Chinamen underground looking for coal, a dream job.
