Q: where are most of us foreigners, per capita, beijing, shanghai, guangzhou or just spread all over .
I just came here for the weather, southern Guangdong............ but today I was sitting waiting in Guangzhou for my wfe and daughter.... bored . so I decided to count white guys ..started with 1 me...... ........ 10-15 minutes later I saw 3 black guys, so figured I'd count them too...... started with 3 .............. ...another 10-15 minutes and decided to count numbers of people going in/out of the mall (Tian he cun) ...60 people per minute is what I came up with and in an hour and a half...........I was the only white guy to be found and the 3 blacks were all I saw. Saturday afternoon........ there was one guy that I wasn't sure of, middle eastern I suspect, Greek maybe, I don't know. I thought I'd see more!!
I think Shanghai is number 1. When I walked the streets there I could almost believe that I wasn't in China anymore for a moment at a time. I think Beijing is number 2 and Guangzhou is number 3. Shenzhen might be 3 or 4, I am not sure.
But you are right, many a days I had hung out in Tian He and not seen any other foreigners. But at night, in the clubs, they are all over the place.
