Q: Where is the best place to see the Great Wall of China?

For ease of access and photography.

You probably have to ride the cable cart at the top and take pictures from atop. That was the best view that I got. The lower view ground view wasn't so good to me.

The question asked "where."

Why? For you it would be learning to fly from it.

I'd like to see the view from space but that dam Vulcan Diehard won't beam me up.

Scandinavian:

the cloud of smog would most likely make the trip to space a waste of time, from a Great Wall observing- point of view

Sensors could map it though and a small burst Tachyon beam might disrupt the pollution barrier, then again it could vapourize China also.

I think maybe 慕田峪 Mu Tian Yu is a good option.

八达岭 Ba Da Ling has too many tourists in any vacation

箭扣 Jian Kou is a bit far and difficult to approach.

Mutianyu. Less tourists.

mhager:

I agree, in May this year I took my family to see the wall and the driver that we hired recommended this section and luckily we took his advice because there were very few people there and the view up via the cable car and later on the wall itself was fantastic

A girl that I met about three weeks ago has a large framed picture of it on her bedroom wall. The best place to view it from is on top of her pillows.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
