Q: Where can I buy board games in Beijing?

Yea, I'm a nerd. Anyways...

I know Beijing has a bunch of board game bars/cafes, but I would prefer to own them so I can play home. Preferably in English. Don't care if they are real or "copies". Are there any good board game stores in the city?

鼓楼东大街 (Gu lou east road) does. Look around in the small shops and you'll find some.

I got a chess board with some really detailed pieces. It was very cheap on the street. There is a famous market which is located in Beijing. It's not in any of the silk markets those places are too expensive. I'm not exactly sure what the market is called but I think it is the traditional market or something like that. They have the market set up like a flea market and it's really fun!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
