Q: Where can I buy a fire alarm, extinguisher etc?
Recently heard that a friend back home's house burned down which got me thinking about how screwed I'd be if something similar happened to me here. Friend is ok btw.
Does anyone know where I can buy a fire alarm, fire extinguisher and/or other fire safety items? Do big shops like carrfour carry these things? (I'm in beijing). I know its probably a futile attempt, but I'd rest a bit easier at night nonetheless.

I have seen all these required things by you in Walmart in the Jinan city where I am living..hope you can also find these things in Beijing Walmart..
most hardware stores have them. I only know hardware stores in my neighborhood though so I can't really give you any advice there. I think walmart has them as well though.
Funny thing, just the other day I noticed at my apartment complex that there's about 500 fire extinguishers sitting outside. I jokingly said "man I should steal some of those and sell them" then I thought "oh the fuck am I gonna sell a fire extinguisher to".....I think I just found my first customer haha :)
