there is one at the Guolou Dong Da Jie (close to the jiaodaokou traffic light)...I just noticed it's for handmade shoes, no experience...It's quite old Beijing handmade shop..seems popular in recent years...

coffaholic:

The shop in question is called "Lao Yu's" and it's located on Glou Dongdajie close to the intersection of Jiaodaokou and Andingmen. I got a pair of shoes made there before. It takes 2-3 weeks for him to make them but the quality is amazing. Be prepared to spend a lot though. My shoes cost 1200 rmb to make!

I like a snowy Happy new year, rather than a no sky one...Beijing's time to ban the cars---the only solution for the time being...

A:I'll give my two cents on the age part. It's not as easy but can definitely be done. I was 21, fresh out of university and landed my first teaching job in china as a homeroom kindergarten teacher on a pretty standard 20,000/month salary. I'm 1 year in now and am still happy. Pretty much all international kindergarten jobs on here want 2 years experience, but many will still accept if you have experience in your home country. With that being said, being white and having a nice looking face is much more of a decision factor in china vs the west, if you can- use it to your advantage. Good luck finding something! -- brinsleym
