Q: Where can I find a job in an international company?
Hey,I want to find a job in an international company,if possible I can apply internal job to work in the headquarter in the western country in the same company for better chance.
Do you know where can I find this kind of company who has office in Shanghai?

1. Put together a resume (CV) listing work experience, qualifications and skills. Get someone to write you a glowing reference letter. If you include a personal interests section, there should be NO reference to foreign men, nightclubs, or sex-under-the-misapprehension-of-marriage. And definitely no booty pics.
2. Dress professionally. This is really important, considering your profile picture is you in an office wearing hideous clothes and sticking out your arse. A businesswoman with serious aspirations needs to project professionalism.
3. Visit the offices of some international companies (there are thousands in Shanghai) in person. Tell them you are fluent in English, hard-working, and would like a job with responsibility. Don't tell them you want to work in the company headquarters overseas (that's not realistic yet). What you need to do is find an office job in an international company, take the job seriously, and make yourself valuable.
4. Conduct yourself professionally and work hard. Don't get bitchy at other women in the office. Don't have sex with male co-workers, even if they say you're cute. You need to set a high standard without requiring constant validation.

Unfortunately there aren't many restrictions on naughty bosses in China, and I guess foreign men will take advantage of that situation too.
When you visit a company, ask if you can talk with the HR manager. Tell whoever you talk to that you want to get serious about your career, and are approaching this job professionally.
what you wanna do in an "international" company? cook coffee?
i mean seriously, most "international" companies here are no different from chinese because 99% chinese work there.
to get a good paid job in an international company you need qualifications that others dont have (guess you dont). Maybe you can be an office assistant for like 2k rmb/month but even that job is already filled.
speaking english is nothing special and is not a real skill nowadays and wont assure you a job in a international company, it is just the basic that they might not throw away your cv immediatly.

2.Well,typically you are right about many people are speaking English nowdays.But have you noticed that most Chinese people speak English with the strong accent?I have got all my employers impressed by my English among all those highly educated people.The main reason I got hired by companies because of my English.One day,a person from Dupont company(A big American international fabric company) spoke highly about my English with the GM.I guess she is the manager there since she got the assistant.I speak in a more western tone since I have been trained and involved in the activies with many native English speakers for several years.
Considering about my qualifications above,would you think these will get me a job in an international company?

if good spoken english is an advantage over bad english, i am not so sure after i saw a lot of HRs who couldnt speak any good english. Seems it is just not an important reason to hire someone.
sadly but true is the fact that especially when you are young a high degree in the right field is very important to land a good job.
so either you offer a high degree in the field they are looking for
or you have years of experience and proofed yourself in that field otherwise it will be very hard.
so i guess you consider yourself as a purchaser/sales (funny thing is that these are to opposite to each other)
both can be useful for an international company. I am working for a german company and the office staff are all chinese and we are only 4 foreigners there (in the highest positions) so it is probably just look to land a job
but one thing i maybe should tell you:
foreign companies mostly dont pay more than locals, because thats the reason why they came to china

they pay they foreigners more but the chinese have still a low salary.
thats exactly the reason why they go to china to produce... cheap labour costs

you get more if you are valuable for the company, that is mostly not happening in young ages.
start low work hard, achieve more and they will raise your salary if they think you are worth it.
higher salaries are usually in the HR or finance department.
best positions for chinese are still in the banks, not foreign companies
Last of all : Do not put your this avatar photo to your cv and never mention that you ask super smart questions in echinacities.

I used to work for a company that used many factories in China for production. There was an Chinese woman that was an Account Manager at the factory. She was very helpful and easy for our company to deal with and she was always as honest as her job would allow her to be. Our company liked her so much that they hired her to help us deal with all of the other factories! But they hired her to work in China only because she was very valuable there. Her value would be much less if they had tried to move her to America. But they offered her quite a bit more money than the factory was paying her. I guess that is one possible route to getting a job with a foreign company.

Get on the WWW and search out some of the foreign company names that you know .
then go to their site map and search Careers or Jobs with that company ,
places like Volvo have heaps of jobs advertised on their own web page and have jobs in China
Try Coke , Soap powder companies , any Foreign bussiness that has product in China
Also there are some really smart people here that might help you look over your CV to tidy it up if it needs it
