You can't legally employ a Phillipine maid in China. However your biggest concern is gone be the VISA for the Phillipine.
Why choose a Phillipine? Plenty of Ayi's here.

I think this question is somewhat derogatory. But hey! Maybe it's just me.
Lots of Phillipine maids in China, Tons of them! All legally employed! Especially in HK.
English speaking, trustworhty, and no commie BS!
bennyfulltrack:
you are talking rubbish. You can't legally employ a Philippian maid, this doesn't say that they are not here, but LEGALLY? ABSOLUTELY NOWAY!
I think it is somewhat difficult now. I bet they'd rather be English teachers than maids.
crimochina:
have you ever been to the philipines or met a filipina? i dont think you should get thumbs down but your statement has no basis in reality. but we are all here to learn. and 60% of my statements have no basis in reality ;) thumbs up for the effort though
how is it derrogatory? many locals seek out philipina maids. expats want philipina maids because they speak english. where's the mystery. you really have to focus yyour efforts in shanghai, beijing , guangzhou and see if they can send one out to you
It is very simple. You only can employ foreigners in China for jobs which can't be done by Chinese, Noway around this. Legally you cannot employ anyone els then a Chinese for maid. Plenty of Ayi's here waiting for a job. As told before the biggest problem is the VISA and if the PSB find it out, you will deported immediately, no question about it. Yeah...yeah.. I know, many people doing it and don't have problems blablabla......

Maybe the person asking the question is Chinese, what happens then

Same will happen. No matter if the OP is Chinese or not.
In mainland China, Filipina maids (or any non-Chinese) are illegal. In HK, it is a different story. But on the mainland, that is the law.
However... TIC. There are agencies out there in most major cities that you can get a Filipina maid from if you so desire. A lot of locals like them because they also serve as English teachers for their kids.
They are brought into China on teacher passports, but in reality they serve as maids. They are normally much more expensive than a Chinese maid and run about 6-10k per month from what I have been told.
China has been cracking down on this recently, so even if you find one, she may not be able to stay long.

Is there a visa for foreigners without work, but are allowed to work in China?
Again without a Work Permit....they are working illegally.
And you, as their employer, face penalties, fines, and If you are not Chinese, there is a decent chance you will be deported as well.
Acquiring an "X, L", F..., whatever" Visa does not give your AYI the right to work.
All it takes is one pissed of Chinese Ayi who thinks that you should be employing a Chinese person to go to the PSB and complain...
Just so you know.
Cannot believe that some RETARTED people giving here freacking ILLEGAL advise. Hopefully the government will not screen this website here.

You're doing the job for them....so you'll get your commission by the PSB. :)
