There is one on Jiefang Lu, near the Sofitel Hotel.
But it is DISGUSTING! Full of kiddy piss and spit.

I went there once with friends and first of all you need some sort of 'swimming permit' to go in the deep pool. Then my friend got thrown out for wearing baggy shorts. I mean come on, what the fuck??

Then you will never find one.

Better to find a lake or river and swim in that (good luck finding that in Xi'an!)

Look for a five or four star hotel. These pools can be better, most of them, however, require the boys to wear professional swimming, hugging your butt, showing everything in it's lining, swimming shorts. Girls are required to wear a one piece suit, both boys and girls have to wear a scalp cap to cover all your hair.

I feel offensed by people complaining about the crowd in China, you know there are hundreds people in any where! If you want somewhere without people, try the rural area, maybe a forest or something

It's an old post, I know.  I can kinda understand the swimming cap; they claim they want to keep people's hair from clogging up the recirc and cleaning system for the pool.  But then you see almost everyone with a cap has at least some hair exposed, and some girls with longer hair just have it flowing out.  But I'm more curious about why they require the short tight swim trunks for guys?  I couldn't get any rational explanation for why (closest thing I got was they thought maybe my trunks might come off, giving everyone a show.....wtf?).  I gave them a demonstration....showing how difficult it was to take them off....retards.

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change student visa to labourer one is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
