Q: Where can I get in contact with the expat community in Changchun?

I just moved here. I researched the topic a long time prior to moving and there was a really good site called changchunfriends.com. However, it seems to have disappeared since then.

I would really like to know where other people meet, do, hang out and how to get in touch with them since I'm living here now Smile

You don't have to look very far. You can find some info here.

However, if the city is small, it may not have an expat community per se. The best way to find out is to go out and explore the city and find people. Maybe you can ask if anyone has seen other foreigners and see if you can get in touch with them there. They may not even go on Changchun expat websites.

English corners can be a good steppingtone. Usually, there is at least one foreigner and he or she can tell you where the others gather. If not, there are the students who can also provide you with the same info.

You might try this site.  Some of the information may be dated but it is a first-step nonetheless.
