Q: Where can I get vaccinations in Beijing?

Hi guys, I am travelling in two weeks to Sri Lanka and it was kind of a last minute decision, now I am left with very long list of vaccinations that they recommend. Do you know of any place here in Beijing to get them? I would prefer a chinese hospital or a not very expensive western one. If they are just recommended but not required is there any problem going without them.

Thanks!

Hello there,

If you have the list of vaccination you need, you can get to the Sino-Japanese hospital, they should be equiped. Another solution is to get to the French-German doctor's office (infos can be found on the embassies website). That's where i always get mine... however, i'd recommand to ask for the German doctor, the french one gave me bad and unprofessional advice once and i'm not the only one it happened to. Adding to that, that he's not at all warm and fuzzy but cold and very...french! I'd know, i'm french too! Wink

Have a nice trip!

A: "... through ..."?  Only "through" comes to mind is "Shenzhen agent can connect you with an employer, who's authorized to hire waigouren ... and can sponsor Z visa." It's not like every 10th person you meet in Shenzhen's hood can sponsor work visa ...  The only way to change from student to labourer visa is just a regular way by: 1. Finding an employer, who'll apply for an Invitation letter; 2. Exit China and apply for Z visa in your home country's Chinese embassy; 3. Enter China in 30-days after Z visa was stamped into your travelling instrument ...As I am aware, you won't be able to switch to Working permit by remaining in China....,so make ready for a return to your home .... -- icnif77
