Volunteers are as bad as union busters. They ruin the job market and spoil the Chinese into thinking every foreigner should teach for free.

Martin, your answer is quite biased. I'm looking for somewhere I can bring my kids to. To help the poors, they may appreciate the life they've already had.

If u r in Shanghai, there is an organization called Stepping Stones.
http://steppingstoneschina.net I met the founder, she is half french half english, nice person. And I already applied, will be one after the training program.
