It really depends on your definition of "censorship" and "repression," and in what arena of life you  apply it and how each of these words affect that part of life. Generally, however, censorship is part and parcel of all governments. It's how they stream information to their citizens, build nationalism, and in effect, excert control for a somewhat subdued population. I'm not sure what repression you are wanting to know about. 

So...do you mean in a political sense? A commercial sense? Media? Constrictions on lifestyle? What, exactly, or if not specifically, try to narrow the question down a little so that one answering can have a little more information to go on.

Thematically, this question is a little too broad for most to give some type of cognitive answer, except by assuming you mean one thing over another. Looking forward to your clarification, which you can add to the original question in the form of sub-text which will explain your context.
